The Best Practices for Housekeeping and Keeping a Clean Smelling House

This blog post is about some things you can do to keep the house smelling good and up to good housekeeping standards.

Let's start with 5 quick tips on how to keep the house clean.

Tip #1 Start by making the bed

Making the bed every morning is a great way to prepare for an effective and organized day. You wouldn't believe how important it is to your day for you to have your linen in order at the top of the day! At the very least it's a reminder that the day is moving forward. Maybe you will make it up so pretty that you refuse to lay back down until your tired from a great days work.

Tip # 2 Do a 15 minute night clean up

Night time cleaning is very important. The best time to night clean is after the home have settled down a bit. Besides just making for a good tomorrow by waking up to a clean house, night time cleaning can definitely keep the bugs and insects down.

Tip # 3 Keep basic cleaning supplies close to the area you use them

This tip means that location is important to cleaning. Whenever you can, keep bathroom cleaners and cleaning aids in or near the bathroom. This is also important to limit contamination. You don't want to reuse a bathroom brush for the kitchen.

Tip # 4 Never leave a room empty handed

Always find something to carry out of a room or pick something off the floor. If you make a habit of never leaving a room in the house the way you found it, your home will be up to best housekeeping standards before you know it!

Tip # 5 Know your high traffic areas

High traffic areas need special consideration. They are visited frequently so they are the most prone to messes and bacteria. Some common traffic areas will be the front doorway, the bathroom, and the kitchen. You want to pay special attention to cleaning the floors of these areas. HERE is my favorite disinfectant!

Now let's move on to my recommendations to keeping the home smelling good

They smell so good! Now what you want to be is boil them in a pan on top of the stove. Don't knock it until you've tried it! This will make your home smelling very inviting for you, your family, or any occasion. WATCH A VIDEO ON HOW TO DO IT.

Next on my list of recommendation is how to make the mop water, making the water and mopping as recommended will keep your floor clean and with a nice clean smell.

- First you make your water then add in some FABOLUSO and Dawn Dish Soap. Now put this aside and use this Lysol muti-surface cleaner to spray dirty floor spots and high traffic areas. Then room by room pour your water mix and mop as usual.

My next recommendation

Wash dirty clothes regularly

Next

Sit your traditional mop with the head faceing up, this will prevent the mob from smelling mildew and also allows for faster drying.

Up Next

You can add some Mr. Clean Muti-surface cleaner to your Lysol All-purpose cleaner for and even fresher smell and stronger clean!

Next recommendation

Clean the outside of the toliet with tissue or paper towel so you can throw them and the smell away!

Last recommendation

Hang your cleaning towels to dry or put them in the laundry, you do not want them to hold moisture and start smelling up your clean house!
